That Aesthetic Feel: Spooky and soft Halloween
There have always been two types of Halloween aesthetics: The type where you’re afraid to step into the night, the kind that commerical stores brag about and horror movies frighten you into believing. The type where if you don’t watch your step, the cause of your death in the form of a deranged psychopath is just around the corner.
Then, there is the kind of Halloween that is shared between little kids, the kind you can see in their eyes, where a soft orange glow is found. This is the kind of Halloween hiding in pumpkin-shaped trick-or-treat bags, found in candy labeled just for this season, and funny costumes worn only once, during this night of the year. This Halloween doesn’t lurk in the shadows, but shines in jack o lanterns, bonfires and in the moon, hanging high in the sky watching over the Halloween hoopla.
