All right, my Pillowfort thoughts! (You can log in to the Demo Account here.)

The biggest and most immediate Pillowfort takeaway, for me? Is this:

How your content is controlled, affects how it is engaged with.

When you comment on someone else’s page, you feel like you’re in their space–and *this changes how you act*

As a creator, how people interact with my content is a priority and is just one thing that makes Pillowfort stand out to me. I really believe that the way people act can change how communities are built–and even how fandom behaves with creators and other members. If you’re interested in trying out Pillowfort, you can take a look at the Kickstarter here.

Full disclosure: I’m invested in Pillowfort! Not monetarily, other than backing the Kickstarter, but I’ve reached out to Julia and helped with design and some planning. I have no idea how they do it all–sorting through beta user feedback and rolling out new dev features. The team is enthusiastic, but small and scrappy and I hope for the best for them!

From this post by @fledgling-witch

[ID: comic that begins “Friendly Reminder”

A person looks up at the sky, where three crows are flying, and they close their eyes.

The text continues in the next panel: “that it’s okay if you are 21 and still can’t turn yourself into an entire murder of crows”. The person’s upper body is dissolving into a mass of crows, leaving only their legs standing there.

The final panel finishes “Any species of corvid is fine,” and shows a blue jay perched on a thin branch.
