Polly Malloy (Carole Lombard) is an expert sailor who is frustrated to learn she’s been tasked with escorting the senator’s daughter, Maureen Evans (Ginger Rogers) to a shindig off the coast. She is pleasantly surprised to learn Maureen isn’t as stuck-up as she’d assumed she’d be, and they strike up a fast friendship that soon. Their relationship takes a deeper turn when Maureen asks for sailing lessons that take on a very private nature indeed!
