This is a Susanna Clarke short story called “The Dweller in High Places”, read by Georgina Hagen. Set in approximately the same universe as the rest of her stuff, I’d guess. Aired on the BBC as part of the Blood Lines series, it’s… well, the blurb says,
Across the water, the Napoleonic Wars rage but a young girl discovers a danger much closer to home.
